Nude Figure Drawing - Cylinders

I think this was a really good exercise. I'm planning on repeating it a couple times before moving on to the rest of Figure Drawing.

The knowledge gained from this assignment stacks with the perspective class so I'll probably try going back and forth between the two.

Photoshop for Digital Production 1 - Assignment 4

This assignment was pretty fun. I tried to make the first and third parts a little bit more challenging.

For part one I decided to try and make the apples green instead of red. I think it turned out pretty well for such an extreme color shift.

For part three, I made the alien look like the woman and the woman look like the alien. It was pretty fun! I'm very entertained with the results.

Now that I finished the assignments for PS1, I think I'll keep making photo collages to practice the skills I learned.

It's been awhile since I've done one of these, but I think it turned out pretty cool!

I made another photo collage. I think this one is a lot more cohesive than the first. I had a lot of fun tweaking the colors and experimenting with the texture brushes.

Nude Figure Drawing - Proportion Grid

Finally got around to doing this assignment. It was pretty good practice for line and symmetry. I did several versions by hand and for the sake of my perfectionism, made a couple in symmetry mode.

I'll probably do this practice a couple more times like the other, but I think maybe my skills are a little bit above this course.

More cylinder studies. I found these to be pretty fun! I'm going to use some of these for my long pose studies next.

Perspective 1

I did several of the perspective assignments today.

I spent the most time on the 2 point perspective assignment. It took about 5 hours! I really wanted to push myself with the shapes so I tried a lot of different shapes and configurations.

Tedium, or repetition, is good for building discipline and skill. I want to level up as quickly as possible so I'm trying to really throw myself into my studies.

Nude Figure Drawing - Reference Drawing

I finally got around to my referenced drawing. I think it turned out pretty well and I'm glad I choose a pose that pushed me but also worked off of previous knowledge. The model's proportions were much thinner than the average so I went back probably 5 times to shave off the width.

Just started the room assignment. I figure it'll take me a couple days, so I'll keep updating with my progress. Currently, I'm just trying to make sure the measurements are proportional before moving on.

Perspective One - One Point Perspective Room

I sketched out my room idea. I went with a magic/witch theme! Hopefully I can start this week if things calm down!
