Long time no post!I'm trying to get back at painting and want to improve my animal portraits. Here're the base layers of my ragdoll cat Olivier, when he was 10-11 weeks old. Will post ref photo later.
Incredible craftsmanship with your dolls! I really like the way you represent what is cute and how it translates into form.
Also the way you illustrated fur in that lion makes it look like it's so easy! For me is not How do you do it?!
Thank you so much!! I really struggle with fur and want to learn a different way of painting it because I spent about 2 weeks painting each hair individually.
Yup. 2 weeks sounds legit XDDaarken has a great video about painting fur and he does it only with the round brush! If you are interested I can post a link here for you to check it out (if the forum etiquette allows it of course). If in the other hand you want to explore this magnificent world we live in on your own, it's all good!
That'd be great, please share Would love to learn!
Here you go I would positively want to hear your thoughts and analysis after you check it out. And I am not in a hurry of course. Studying takes time!
This is SO helpful! Thank you very much. Very useful to go back and re watch.
Haven't done much 2D art or any art at all since corona struck but starting to get back into 3D art before I pick up 2D again.
Here are a few of my artworks and patterns I designed. This is a doll inspired by spring weather, flowers and grassy fields where mice here roam looking for seeds. I named her Nori and her whole body is wired. She's 13cm in total.
Some process photos.
Cute tiny bear around 8cm in total.
A small collection of last year's projects and this year.
They are so cute!! I love your work ^^
Thank you very much!!
Made a few newer designs. Experimented a lot and threw away so many failed attempts at butterfly wings and aluminium wire.Happy with the outcome! I'll upload a darker version soon.
Work in progress shots:Back of wing and collar and wings.
That's such a cute design! She's lovely! Very nice work once again
Thank you!
A little update on my art this year. These sprites are still a work in progress. Materials used alpaca wool and cotton for embroidery.
Mouse doll that I named Nori. She's tiny and fully wired from the inside.
I started experimenting with new designs around 2015 to get where I am now. Trying to create designs with animal or nature elements. More pictures of my art journey on Instagram.
Sunflower sprite to celebrate summer and sunny weather. The eyes are one of my favourite elements on this one. I used alpaca wool for most of the sprites I made. More pictures on my Instagram!
Literally got hooked on Squid Game and immediately started designing a tutorial/crochet pattern for little red soldiers! If you're a crocheter, feel free to check the fpattern out on my blog. It's completely free.Instagram
