Your path sketch is very good. You may need to look at sci-fi tanks for reference.
You're doing well on the folds studies.

For darkness, you can shade the darker folds
Good work on drawing faces from imagination. Is it an alien cyborg?

@gregorya I think I'm gonna go with 3/4 portrait view and some fisheye-ish perspective to show the city, if I can gather the energy XD, the alien is some sort of alien XP

Have been way too tired/busy these days. Today I just played around with a custom brush I got for fun, went straight to paint on this one to try to capture the essence and to practice something sinix does, just using large brushes to paint over each stroke making more and more detail

Milestone time!

Anyhow, I know the forum told me a year has passed not too long ago and I checked and yeah, on the 22nd it's been exactly one year since I started my art journey here with you lovely people!

As planned, I'm taking this about two terms per year, similar to how uni was for me and I guess my brain can handle it that way and in passing these first two terms I just have no words to describe the feeling of gratitude I'm feeling as I am constantly learning new things and am able to do way way more than I ever could.

I wanted to start this journey back in high school (17, wait now 18 years ago!) when I watched great artists starting their journeys in the glory days of conceptart.org. I also remember messing around with a mouse and old PC with photoshop and even zbrush back then XD it's always been a neglected dream and today I'm finally starting to learn some zbrush so it's a bit of an emotional-hype moment for me

It's always nice to stop and reflect on the journey so far. Props for continuing to put in the work and to continue to truck along! If you compare some of your earlier work, there is clearly a lot of improvement!

And you're right, watching other artists taking the journey motivates us as well, pushing others and ourselves to go a little further every day.

btw, tha potrait drawing is so pretty, the cross hatch follows the contour of the face really well and the details on all her features look lovely!

Next up my fold practice, I used a more digital approach (lasso tool, flat color layer and alpha lock - cubebrush all the way with opacity) was pretty fast this way

It most certainly is a difficult angle X_X

So this morning I tried fixing a couple of things, first the trunk as mentioned by Mitsuki and second the first figure's head which on second look had hemiatrophy XD
