@daceronine I will post in a while a shading example with it, i am using just one brush theoughought. In this case the chalk brush from Jens Claessens’s brush packs, it’s one of the few brushes I have bought/downloaded to support an artist. On photoshop my shading is almost always alt clicking and using a light touch pressure-opacity like in this case, as I am yet to find a nice blending brush to imitate the feel of procreate
@leeireo haha, trust me it’s not as complicated as it looks (it looks complicated tho XD
It’s just random lines and geometric shapes that i use at the beginning to help me with the right placement and proportions. It can be pretty fun, i saw a video by proko on it and one by Bauman, they both have their ways, same thing with Marc on the figure drawing from reference and essentially it’s all about finding reference points, measurements, angles. For example, if you have the canvas size or proportion identical, you can trace lines that end at exact parts (dividing the width in thirds or fourths for example) and you can make lines straight horizontal or vertical, you can make geometric shapes to “enclose” your object of study and you can find lines within those shapes to find other relationships
That’s the gist of it for me in the block in, i realized that the better the block in the more likeness I can get and the closer the result to the reference with less corrections later on
