Hi, guys!
I've been posting here mostly around the Art Wars, but I finally decided I'm going to really try improving at art. So here I am, pushing myself to work regularly and to try and be an active member of the art community (cue dramatic music)

I'll post most of my portfolio in the near future and then my goal will be to post weekly sketches, concepts or full paintings, whatever I have produced, that I deem 'presentable'.

Here's a WIP sketch from today, that I think I'll turn into an illustration

My initial goal was to do a value practice, trying to catch the different volumes of the face.

Another practice piece from a month or so ago. I wanted to simplify my workflow and do something fun:

My main inspiration for the feel came from Vitaly Bulgarov, Johnson Ting and some riot police equipment.

Hey all, after a long week, here's a new piece - a stylish mech/knight/earring connoisseur (not really :D)

I've also imagined a short backstory, while working on him:
Donned in gold and with their origins long lost to time, the lightweavers act as mercenaries for whichever side pays the most. However, once they bind themselves to a contract, they hunt their pray until the end. Regarded as an elite force in an advanced world, every one of their order's soldiers receives a blade during their rite of passage. Even though noone but them knows why, most outsiders believe it's an attempt to even the odds against their targets.

One point which I'm still unsure of - can he do magic (and maybe cook)??

Sooo, personal fact of the month - I quit my job to try and go pro with art!
Is it a tad scary - yup. But does it feel absolutely awesome to not have my heart somewhere else all the time - YUP!

A WIP of a sci-fi character. It's still super early in the design. I'm going to try incorporating ZBrush in the process (I'm trying to learn it ), but I'm using Blender for now. Aaaand yeah - all tips and critiques are gonna be super useful!

Hey guys, I decided to try my hand at yet another Artstation challenge (the Space opera: Light Age), so here's the progress so far.

Reworked Frames 1 and 2 and designed the main character (a bit rough around the edges, but it's enough for the keyframes)

I'm really digging the lighting and atmosphere for the two frames. Nice storytelling too! The first one is especailly cool
