Hey, I just finished this succubus painting and was wondering what I could improve on. I did this in one day because it's my daily drawing, and I can spot a few mistakes on it myself, too. Such as the breast sizes being different and the readability on the fingers is kinda non-existent. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Also, the character isn't mine but sozomaika's (on instagram) as I did this as a dtiys

Hey, I love both the drawings you just shared.
Eventough this is way out of my league and I cant say anything about the technical aspect I feel like you may be able to use the background for a little more storytelling. Would be intresting to know who is summoning here, if she has any specific skills etc...
Besides that, they are freaking amazing!

Thank you! And thank you for your feedback!

So i have a question first, the pink purple ellipses of energy around her, how did you do it so nicely, looks amazing.
The readability on the fingers is fine as far as i am concerned.
However, if you want to show volume, direction and such things, it is easier if you use a combination of lighter and darker shades . Seeing on especially her left hand, it is almost completely black. The darker the shade, the less information, the less we can tell the shape. So i would use maybe a purple or pink light beneath that hand throwing some contouring light on her hand.

im not sure how to do it, but someone on your level can figure it out im sure
nicely done drawing, i dig it

maybe use some cast light, resulting in the whole area around the hand to be lit up completely and thus you can work with lighter and darker shades, i think it can give you a bit more freedom.
It doesn't need to be much, just think where you want our eyes to focus and make sure it doesn't distract us.
The other hand i wouldnt mind too much about it, it is more in the background and further away from us. it shouldnt have as much detail as what is in front of us

Thanks for the feedback! The fingers look a lot better on your example now! As for the ellipses, I just drew some shapes around her with a cool light brush I found, and then set the layer mode to either Linear Dodge or Color Dodge (can't remember anymore), then just used the motion blur to get that movement effect on it!

The motion blur!! that's it, really cool. Yeah i hope it's clear what i was trying to say, probably a few tweaks and you're there
