I try to be closer to the reference values, color picked on the reference to see how dark some element were. I think I got better values today. Forgot to add the button too

Made a progress gif too! I see from it that the legs were not quite right on the rough sketch but I think I managed to make them feel alright

Didn't had much time today but still wanted to do so much more (but I would have finished at 3AM at best xD ) So I stopped after a rough shading. I am quite happy with it but I don't know how to make it better without going into the details. I feel like the rough could be better but I don't know what I did wrong. Maybe it's the value range that is not contrasted enough. I ll try to work on that next time.

After I started this one I felt like I couldn't do it, I started procrastinating. Managed to push myself to just at least try, just make the big shadows and you re done. Ended up doing it all. quite happy with the result, except for the arm on the right. I have no idea how I am supposed to make it look ok, it has no primary tension points, it's more like a towel folded onto itself with gravity. It makes chaotic patterns. Physic is beautiful.
Note: trying different textures on the same reference is overwhelming. It would be wise to train on 1 thing at a time for now.

5th study, I really enjoy the result, feels almost too real. took me around 1h30

6th cloth drawing, didn't had enough time to polish it as much as the others but still looking good

Difficult day, didn't had focus today, just some quick gesture drawing. 2min for faces is a hard challenge but it's really satisfying to be able to do a face from reference in such a short time.

7Th Cloth Studies, I really liked to do that one, the flow of water was really different from tension points. I also played around with color balance, quite a powerful tool this is, but really not intuitive to work with.

You picked a really challenging reference here. You're braver than I am I would have scrolled right past it when picking a ref. Great work : )

Thank you, what can I say, I like challenges. It also gives me a reason to not focus on details to much otherwise I would still be at it 2 days later !

Only timed drawing today. 30s and 2min for the faces. Taking the time to order them really makes me enjoy them from a new perspective. The second I am finished I am often not satisfied with the result, but when I moves them around at the end I always feels like they are not so bad

Noice! I see you used line thickness to sell the depth of the background but i think you could push that concept even further, make them even thinner and more faded. Good stuff tho

Thank you for the advice, I struggle a lot with line thickness in general. I don't really know how to approach it.
On my 3rd environment study I tried to follow your advice, turned out quite well but the process still feels strange to me. Maybe I am just missing something, maybe it's just about practice.

Line thickness in landscape drawings is used to simulate atmospheric perspective. So things closer to the viewing pane will have more details, higher contrast, crisper; things farther away will have less, fainter, if any details - so a thinner line accomplishes that, but you could also play with opacity a bit too. "Atmospheric Perspective" is the topic, if you want to rabbit hole on YouTube

@JimSt Thank you for the information. I might look into it. I struggle more on the how to manage theses lines weight than the how they works. I feel like I spend way to much time on my lines when I try to manage the weight. might be skill issue or just training issue.

@SamuraiSingh Thank you, I am trying to be more aware of composition lately, and values is a quite big aspect !

For today's work, I spent way too much time trying to refine the light and shadow. Had to restart twice then gave up. I might need to come back to the lesson video to check the process because the way I tried it felt too messy. So in the end I just did simple light and shadow without sinking into the details.
