Really having fun with Art School  enjoyable and easy to learn for me who has dyslexia  Hope I can improve a lot more ^^ , Here's the first Assignment I did . still trying the 2nd one.

PS : I am having trouble with the pressure practice, even if i press my stylus hard, the end of the brush line is still grey :\ anyone having the same situation ?

What hardware are you using? Like the type of tablet and computer, and I suppose software.

I’m using photoshop cs6, Asus and intuos draw.

As far as adjusting the pen sensitivity , the first thing that you should do is open up the wacom settings, then take your pen and press hard, if the little blue bar fills up then the problem probably exists in photoshop.

Marc goes over how to get to the wacom settings in the photoshop for digital production lessons, if the pressure bar isn't filling up you can mess with the settings there a bit and see if you can get it to do so. If it still wont, there is a chance that your pen is damaged, but try doing the calibration first.

I tried with my brother’s tablet and its still the same, even after setting the pen sensitivity. I guess its my laptop issue but thx for the help

Hey, great work so far  What you can improve with your image blend assignment is to look where the light comes and if it matches the base image. So your light is coming from top right as I see on the mountains. Your left house matches this quite well. Your right house doesn´t as the light there comes from the left as you see on the shadows. at least after that you flipped it  The house in the middle seems to be kind of backlit as the front is in shadow. The boat has also different lighting direction. I´d say also that your boat is too big. Just my opinion though

Ah ok , I kinda just notice it. Thanks for the tip  will fix it to match the background more ^^

With the photobash i think it might help you to consider the values, the grey scale of the image. There is very little contrast in both images, but if anything the island house popped more as it was darker against the lighter mountain in the first image.
Basically without contrast the image becomes very busy and hard to decide where to look or what is more important. Now im no expert at this, but hope this helps.

I’m only halfway through the figure drawing video and I didn’t check the assignment for it yet so i just listen to the video and did my own practice. I was really bad at drawing gestures since i didnt understand even with other tutorials or my previous school lectures taught me. But this is so far what I get, so hope there is someone out there can criticize or advice me in these practice.

hey, I think you did a great job with the nude drawing assignment. I ´d suggest to draw the full ellipse because this makes the line wrap around the form more and can make a difference in the end. The video has also a great advice at the end where marc shows how you can check yourself for mistakes
