I wanted to make the old look younger because I didn't like his nose. I noticed later that most people made the young older. So I hope this is convincing.

Hello and welcome to the ArtSchool forum!

You did fine on that color balancing of the picture of Mei, it looks like your saturation is just a bit low, but that is about all that seems off at this point. You can see it the most in the legs in the sunlight and the water on the right side. But you got it pretty close.

Your combining images assignment looks pretty good as well, you did a good job paying attention to the reflection and the points where the light would be scattered.

Thank you very much for your feedback

Thank you for pointing out the saturation on the picture of Mei, now I can finally see what is wrong with it. I knew something was wrong but couldn't find it .

I had a good reference for the reflection in the combining images because the original image had already a reflection in it.

On to the figure drawing .

  1. line of action:

  1. cylinders:

  1. Skeletons:

  1. Skeletons with cylinders

  1. Proportions:
I already had some understanding of human propotions, but i never knew that the neck was 1/3 of a head. I made a little cheat sheet for myself with some important things i though i would maybe forget.

  2. Gesture drawing 30 seconds and 1 minute:
I did alot of gesture drawing before, but I always did this on paper instead of on the computer with my drawing tablet, but I also wanted to learn to do gesture drawings on my drawing tablet so here it is.

To be honest I don't have the feeling that it is getting better..

  1. Figure drawing

I left some things out, but it still became a long post.

Looking good, keep at it with the gestures, it really is a daily thing and you will see improvement with time. But the important thing is that I can clearly see what is going on with the gestures, and that's really what matters.

I notice in your skeletons that your central line is sometimes the spine and sometimes the front line of the body, as the courses go on Marc uses it to represent the spine, especially when the anatomy classes really get going. Just something to keep in mind.

The figure drawing seems to be going well, the only thing that seems to be consistently off is the breasts, try paying careful attention to how they sit on the rib cage and the angle that they come off of the body. They are not far off, but everything else is consistently right.

Keep at it!
