Well done! You really nailed the distressing on the barrel band.
One technical thing, it looks like you needed to do polygon division on the boards before doing the detail work, you can see the polys along the scratches in quite a few places.
But along those lines, its a technical thing. And like you said, the UI is super weird. The devs are trying to blend together some very different subjects into one program, so the controls seem to be heavily pulled from several divergent systems. Too me a while just to kind of figure out how the different file formats fit together.
