took a break from some other stuff and did some rough character exploration.
some more stuff. I'm avoiding a character design page I started early in the morning but practice is practice I guess. The first painting is based on a black and white photo ref I stylized while the second is compositionally based on another ref.
Some new work from the last few days

Study of Regina magdalena on Insta ~ she made this dress and wore it beautifully

study of Palladianlines on ig
it's harder to consitently update this little blog of mine but here's some recent stuff. In order of appearance: - Discord competition character design - I had to design something out of a tiny scribble- Hulk Concept design (mood and proportions) - Proko challenge (robot theme) - Not going to post everything but just check out my ig for more stuff I guess. alright enough dusting later.
Very cool. I love your style with the heavy brushstrokes. I tried this a few times but I think its much more difficult than a smooth rendering. respect!
Hey thanks, a lot of people like the rendered look these days but I'm glad you took some interest in my work. And yeah it can be tricky not overstating values and edges.
Been drawing faces from imagination (threw in a little fan art). I experimented with 2 different methods for colors but all of this was really focused on designing characters and evolved into a better well rounded process for any subject.
Here's some work I did for a recent competition. I might redo the designs before the deadline etc.
some more pinterest
Made it to 100 posts wow. Okay here's 101. The last one is a Dtiys for Yumings character on instagram.
