WIP fanart for an MMO that I'm currently playing. Been working on this the last couple of days. Hopefully I'll get to finish it within the week.
close to a month now and am ready to call this done. actually stopped working on this around a week or two ago since i've been real busy with work (not art related). while i do think that there's a lot that needs tobe worked on with this piece, i'm actually content with how it turned out. hopefully i can work on a couple more pieces before the year ends.
FF Tactics Fan ArtReferenced Akihiko Yoshida's original concept art for this. Purpose for this piece aside from studying the character design was to also refine my rendering/cel shading.
These looks really good, the shading is on point, for the shadows you can also try to do it with basic shapes rather than with the round brush, i think that looks really good for cell shading. I hope you can understand me Keep it up !
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Completely understand what you said/wrote. I was actually using CSP's Marker tools (really hard to control) for the shadows and then shaping them with a soft eraser. Looking at the latest piece now, it probably would've been better if I used the hard eraser instead.
Updating this with a number of character sketches I did over the past week. Now thinking of how to go about finishing my art war 4 piece.

Hi, Pistonhit. Thanks! I've been working on my line quality for the last two years or so. Still not up to where I want it to be but also a lot better than when I first started out.

the color of her shirt is kinda off (monitor is showing a vastly different color from my display tablet). thankfully, it is relatively easy to change.

hey, apologies for the late reply. glad you liked the linework. still having a hard time using Clip Studio paint's G-Pen for linework so it's good to know someone thinks it's at least clean
