You exp shows, love that knight piece, looks awesome!
Welcome! I also like those weapons.
eyyy welcome to the forums! i really like your art style! it kind of reminds me of Epic Battle Fantasy
Appreciate all the welcomes so far! Here's my progress on the earlier assignments and dailies from term 1 so far; engaging with pen pressure, editing in Photoshop, and practicing making cylinders digitally.
Alright here's some more attempts on the daily pen pressure practice I've been doing in the mornings. I also done the practice exercises in my sketchbook over the past few days as well, aiming to practice drawing cylinders, cubes, and line control. I also tried doing figure drawings of people I find on Pinterest, as well as drawing some characters to see how my process would go after getting into the exercises again o/
I see your 3D shape keep getting better, keep it up
Alright, so I did some more practice with pen control, drawing cylinders, and some figure drawing practice with drawing a skeleton over some reference images. I've been going with using cube shapes for the torso and hips and then noting the direction of the limbs using lines so far o7
I’ve been taking on doing a lot of practice in drawing shapes and practicing pen control the past few days both digitally and traditionally if I’m not at my PC. So far it’s been pretty chill taking time to do these as I go about my day or have some music or anime to listen to in the background. ^^;
Alright here's some more of the exercises I've been practicing with from the past week. So far I've been able to maintain the habit towards doing these everyday which feels pretty nice to ease into. I've been seeing on making drawing cylinders a bit more interesting by trying to add texture to the edges to show the curvature a bit more for them, as well as trying to involve perspective with some shapes behind others.
Okay I finally started working more on gesture drawing. So far I've been aiming to do 30 or 60 sec gestures, and then practicing freely to draw gestures from imagination to review my process. I've done gestures before in the past, but it's been a while since I've actually done one, so I'm still getting used to doing these on a daily bases now.
Main thing I feel I have trouble with is simplifying their gesture and how I can go about capturing the pose.
I've been doing a mix of starting with a stick figure and drawing volumes of the chest and hips, and I try to see their collarbone and hips as landmarks to balance the pose so I can see where to connect the lines for the arms and legs from there. Or I may be thinking too much for the time limits initially here ^^;
Good job on all the fundamental practice. Your 3d objects have improved immensely!
Thanks for the feedback there, I'll keep trying to improve as I go ^^
Okay I’m back to post some more practice I’ve been up to. I didn’t focus as much on practicing digitally in recent days since I’ve been busy handling other things and taking a few days to relax more; so I’ll also need to take a look at doing the weekly assignments when I can. Though I did decide to do some traditional drawing in pen to keep up some practice and practice confidence drawing in pen. I also found having some drawing paper and a pen visible and on hand helps to pass time, even if it’s going over things I practiced before.So far for one character to make line art for, I went with Roxas from Kingdom Hearts o/
I took a break from posting on here for a month to handle some personal stuff and I also wasn’t as heavy on drawing everyday. Though I’m looking to see on making progress through the courses again. Here’s some practice on drawing one of my personal characters, drawing character line art of characters from Kingdom Hearts, as well as practicing 1 point and 2 point perspective a bit.
oooh yea these look really good! and eyyy kingdom hearts fanart
Alrighty, here’s some more practice I’ve been up to o7While reviewing the basic human proportions, I was also curious about the process and proportions I could use with Chibi characters. So that’s included as well there for my curiosity, along with some other sketches ^^
These look great!!
Also is that vampire hirotsu (from bungo stray dogs) XD
Your art reminds me of my characters for some reason hahah it looks awesome!
I actually haven’t heard of Hirotsu or Bungo Stray Dogs, though when looking it up I do like the clean look he has going ^^
Appreciate the nice feedback, your characters looks pretty nice too seeing your stuff along with the animations o/
Thank you
Alright here are some more practice and personal drawing I’ve been working on for the past couple weeks.I have a mix of 2 min gesture drawings, perspective practice with practicing 1 point perspective by hand, and then using the line tool for 2 point perspective, and some personal drawings to see how my skills are so far. o7
