Hi! After multiple years of trying to get better at making art and failing due to motivation, I'm finally trying this. Hoping that one day I might be able to make money from this career choice but only time will tell. Until then I hope you give me some tips when I mess up.
Will try to keep this updated

Term 1 Image Adjustments. I just could not get #2b right.

Nice work I think this will really help you.

10 days later

Update: I'm doing the lines of action and cylinder practice currently. I feel as though I need more practice on cylinders as when I compare mine to others it looks as though I'm doing something wrong so feedback would be greatly appreciated.

hey @charlesharris2322
What I can see is that your cylinders look like they are flat surface, and not round as cylinders are...try to use one of these pictures above and do cylinders on them, on legs and arms, try to imagine the volume of it, how round it is....I tried to show you on your pic what I believe should be done different... I hope I helped at least a little bit

@Nene89 so I followed your advice and used one of the figures to do it over. It came out like this and the parts where it doesn't look as though it has perspective don't look right.

it is kind of tricky when it does not have certain angle, when you are looking strait at it, that means that you can`t see bottom or top of the object. On this pic, I would say that parts that you pointed out have a super small angle, almost looks flat, so you did it almost right. I am not sure how far you got with art school, but Marc explains it really good in video Nude figure drawing (term 1) at 36:15 min  just keep practicing, the more you do, the more you will understand, you are on a good way :relaxed:

and I forgot, when it comes to figures drawing and poses, sometimes if you are not sure how sth looks, what angle has, just try it out by yourself or ask somebody to make a pose for you
