Trying a more realistic style. Need critiques!

I've made a feedback topic already, but I think this piece is apart from anything I've done before, so I'm requesting critiques specifically from this painting. All criticism is accepted.

I moved the pose to be more central in the frame since he was coming over the edge there.
He looked like his pose was hurting him in his original position with that foot and hand.
Simplified the light source and added a bounce light to show how some limbs are overlapping one another.
Doesn't need to be so dark imo.
writing down all what I did and why will take longer than the overpaint does so if you have any questions about how or why I adjusted something I can add comments later. Hopefully this gives you a new view on your character.

The far leg is really awkward, I can't understand how he would be positioned in a way where we can't see the lower leg behind his leading foot.

Don't forget to make a shadow underneath, even the most basic one will do the trick.
