Good'ay, pardner!
The name's Owen! I've been working as a freelance artist for the past year and recently felt as though I hit a diamond wall with my progress; so now I'm here to remedy that!
Almost two weeks ago I got my hands on the full Art School course and have been slowly but surely chiseling my way through the first term.
I have already given a certain amount of feedback on the Discord server so I think it's about time I get roasted. (Seriously though, if you have some constructive criticism, absolutely shoot it my way! However, I cannot promise that if you make me cry I won't be suing you, ha!)
Enough blabbering about little ol' me! Here's what I made for the perspective (my sweet, sweet nightmare <3) assignment.
For the one point perspective exercise, I decided to draw the room I would imagine a character of mine would have had as a kid. As I tend to abhor perspective (though doing this exercise helped me make peace with it a little more), I threw myself an additional challenge in making the room a circle instead of the square/rectangle they typically are.
I did free-hand a bunch of the lines because my computer just ain't powerful enough to use all the fancy tools I could've used to make it all shiny and pristine but nonetheless, if it's wrong, do tell me!
I also kinda gave up on the rendering after a while because commissions kept me busy and I wanted to move on (no patience in kids these days).
The process:
And for the two points perspective, I just made a random street corner; wasn't my first time doing this exercise so I cranked it out without much thought behind it.
The process:
Well, there's my first post!
I wish you all many art gains; may your aspirations lead you towards your chosen art path.
Stay safe and hydrated! <3
