I’ve been working extremely hard to try and enter one of the weekly competitions for a few weeks now, but only fairly recently started working digitally, and I haven’t felt my work has been at the level where I would be able to compete with the other great artists already entering.
I decided to enter this week, finished my piece this morning and got super excited to post it up on the forum… Then realised the competition had a specific theme! After working so hard to enter, then becoming a little disheartened, I decided that I could use the theme “The Arrival” more on a personal level.
I started my digital art journey almost a year ago to this date, studying in every minute of my spare time, and I’ve finally reached the stage where I can just about use my imagination to create in 2D and 3D what my technical capabilities wouldn’t allow before. Albeit I have a long way to go!
So here it is, “The Arrival” of my abilities finally reaching a level where I’m happy enough with my results to enter. Somewhat of a personal milestone for me!
I hope my entry will be accepted based on my explanation and use of the theme. Any feedback would be much appreciated, and good luck to the other entries!
