Hello! It's good to here again. I hope this time i will performing better.
Last time (artwar 1), i tried to create some really smooth and rendered piece. Resulting something what looks worst then the concepts. It was a good lesson. Now i will try to care less for other participants and comparing theirs arts to mine.
That's why i spent 10 days to think about only the concept idea of my champion, without checking any of the participants'. Giving birth to...

PARTEM the CASTAWAY LIGHTSPAWN

SIDE: LIGHT

The Main Concept:
Partem was a captain of a glory lightspawn legion. The symbol of justice.
On day he chose a moral decision over the laws. The judges exiled him for demonstrating the inportance of "holy rules". He didn't regret the result.

He marks the way
in the darkest place.
Even tought the exile,
the light shines inside.
Pathmaker of outposts,
Whom we have lost.

omg, a horrible and childish poem.
Thank God, it's a drawing event!

"The Light shines inside"

Imagine a human being, having light instead of blood in veins.
Skin, nails and clothes are holding back the light. In turn, eyes, holes like mouth, ears or nose,
major veins and scars are let the light visible.

mini concept No. 1:
NOTES FOR ME:

  • Holes on clothes works well. Lets trought some light.
  • Dark clothes for contrast. But not pure black! Maybe some metal reflecting light
  • NO HOOD!!! looks like a necromancer...
  • This guy could be the main light source on the final art.
  • Be clever with brightness and contrast. Easy to lose detalis.

mini concept No. 2:
NOTES FOR ME:

  • Bones are not lighting. Those can be barely visible trought the skin.
  • Dirt can hold back light. Could make some nice contrast.
  • nails can be lighter.
  • WOUNDS AND BLOOD ARE SHINING
  • hands/feet can be darker then other parts of the body

mini concept No. 3:

Uses his own blood like ink, for marking the path. Old sword as a "brush".
Wounded right arm for ink.
Blood in the point of the sword (diping in the bucket).
Battle-weary armor, ripped clothes (exile).

NOTES FOR ME:

  • now he has a body like a human. Maybe a tail, weird ears or different anatomy could be works better for a "lightspawn"
  • the armor parts needs to be majestic (he was a lightspawn captain)
  • a broken halo could be looks cool.
  • clothes can be rotten/moldy, armor can be broken/rusty
  • armor parts needs to be metallic (lightspawn in black armor!?)
  • helmet?

mini concept No. 4:

ARMOR STYLE:
1. Simple
without horns, makes him less demonic (that's good)
2. Light Lord
not bad, but Sauron.
3. Natural
This shapes looks fine, living wood armor is kinda uninque. maybe this shiny elf works well.
4. Root
The idea is ok, but shapes are ugly af.
5. Blocks
A better style for the first concept (1. Simple).
6. Broken
He is an exile lightspawn. Floating broken parts works well.

SWORDS:
Bandage (4) and dead roots (3) could be works well on a sword with shape of 3 or 5.

NOTES FOR ME:

  • armor: Broken+Blocks
  • character: following Natural, and roots surrounding the armor.
  • sword: use a variaton of the 5th, but apply roots on it.
  • small braches can came out from veins, shiny but loosing light to the end of it.
  • dark moss and mushrooms can makes him infected by darkness.

Composition Page:

Everything what need to be visible and understandable on the composition:

  • HE IS THE LIGHT! The main source of light and color is Partem.
  • HE IS MAJESTIC AF! He is.
  • HE IS A ONE-MAN ARMY! Corpses everywhere, "infected" by light.
  • He is on a really horroristic place. Everywhere are fog, blight, zombies, demons, and weird runes... Dark creaures fears him!

Problems:

  • The bucket of light blood is not really visible.
  • Time.

I like the way you plan everything ahead.
(Gotta learn this myslef :V)
Nice and clean sketches also.
(thing to learn no2)
