World of Warcraft Fan Art

Hello!

I did a piece of World of Warcraft fan art a few months back imagining what the half elf subrace would look like.
Here was my first attempt:

When I came back to it recently I felt like it lacked the character and color that you'd expect from a Warcraft inspired piece, and I realized that I was using post processing effects to try to make up for it.

So I decided to give it another quick pass, updating the textures to give them more color and a sense of magical material. I wanted the face to express a little more about his personality, so I posed an expression.

I'd love some feedback on the changes I've made and how I can push it further in the right direction.

Hey Bodhwell, I am not so deep into the world of warcract (actually never played it), but I really like your character. To revisit the colours and give him some expression was really the right choice. The gold makes the whole thing fresher. I have only two things to comment. First thing, I really looked forward to see a whole character. I almost was disappointed to see only the bust. Maybe you consider to give him a full body, I think I am not the only one who wants to see more. Second thing: The glow on the eyes. I rather would go even more extreme or leave it away. Now it is kind of there but maybe irritating if you know what I mean. Maybe it has to be bigger, or try a more extreme colour. Dont know, what do the others think?
