Hi everyone !

We're participating as a team for this challenge. We are two 3D game artists from Belgium :
Maxime Dotremont
Sarah Van Crombrugge

Here our concept for this scifi project :
After the biggest environmental disaster, the Earth's core has died. Earthquakes, cyclones, tsunamis, death, were the daily life of humanity and human civilization had to exile itself on the moon, leaving behind it a dead planet in the image of Mars.
Several hundred years later, the descendants of this civilization launched the mission "Welcome back to earth" !

We are entering quite late but let's see what we manage to create!

I did some tests for the mood of the project. I worked on the lighting and the ground to better visualize the concept.

Hi everyone
I'm working on the ground texture with a sandy variant we're going to use for vertex painting later. I absolutely need to move on to something else.. So it's still wippity wip as i'm not quite happy with it yet!

Maxime :
I'm working on the ground material to blend the textures we have at the moment.

To improve the vertex painting quality, I also added more resolution to the mesh to have more definition at the center of the terrain, where there will be the main base.
