I'm sorry, I'm kinda slow at this heat conditions (it's about 95 F in here), but how far rule about post-production goes for 3D contestants ? Can I make fog via ZDepth, some color correction, etc? Or this rule just like "no fake new geometry" one? What about sky backplate, is it allowed?
And what is judging criteria: only design matters, or technical aspects also will be considered, like texture sizes, polycount, etc?
Thanks.
Acolet, sorry to write this as a reply, I'm new here and I'm afraid that I don't really know how to use Forum as it is supposed - I posted some sketches for this challenge but I'm not sure how to that again in the same post. I just do Reply over and over again and that's the way I upload the rest of my work. Please help me if that is not the right way Also, it doesn't seem that get any interaction with other members, is that the problem? Tnx
Hey guys
@mgadiali214 Welcome to the forums! You just need to go to the Worlds 2D category and in the right upper corner you will have "New topic" button. Create you topic (with the name according to the Rules) and post your pictures there! Use the "Reply" button to make new posts in your topic.
That's all there is to it. Your final image should be posted there too.
Be sure to read the Submission Requirements also.
@Bohdan_Lvov Here are the Submission Requirements for the 3D category.
"Everything has to be 100% 3D with only minor post-processing." means try to do as little as possible (some color correction is ok though).
Technical aspects are not important in this contest.
@obra-kalla Hi, it's super ok to write as a reply, that way at least I get a notification to know someone's needing me
That is exactly the right way, and you are doing everything right.
As far as people not replying - sometimes it's hard to get attention in a sea of other contestants. Commenting on other people's topics and making friends by supporting other people in the competition is usually the way to change that!!
@MrBobarian "The art must be your own - all of it."
But you know what? Just to make super sure, I'll verify the textures and get back to you.
@Acolet Thnx so much! You are very kind

@MrBobarian so I have an answer for our 'grey area' problem, sorry for the delay.
It is ok to use downloaded textures / materials, as long as it's implemented well enough that nobody can tell.
Hope that clears it out once and for all
I was so pumped up about this contest but now I'm really confused. I live in India. And it's not in the list of countries. I read your reply saying I can post everything from my current account but have to state that someone else (in this case, my friend in an eligible country) won the competition, so you can send the prizes to them?
Is that right? Or is it the other way around where I have to create a new account with their address and then clarify that it is them who won the contest?
this should help you. Check out the submission requirements here
@tbrk Both pixels per inch and pixels per cm are important when printing your digital file. As we only need the digital format, this parameter is up to you
