With the world mostly destroyed in the aftermath of the Art War (our previous competition), it’s time to rebuild and start anew. You’ll be tasked with designing your vision of the new world, built upon the ruins of the previous one. You'll be able to choose either the Fantasy or the Sci-fi genre for your environment in the 2D or 3D category.
The surviving civilization is building on top of the old world's ruins, starting fresh. The remains of the old world can be whatever you want, any genre. The new world however should be clearly Fantasy of Sci-fi. Your entry should depict this new world being built on top of the old world's ruins.
Is the new world technologically advanced or it is rudimentary? Is it well developed or are they just starting to rebuild?
This contest is for 2D and 3D artists and for the first time. artists who enter in the 3D category (only) can form teams of up to 3!
Which side will you take?
Pick either Fantasy OR Sci Fi as your entry genre and create the most epic environment the art world has ever seen!
Your environment should be at least the size of a small neighborhood and should clearly show that it is built over older remains/ruins.
Your environment can be mobile as long as it respects the above.

Post your progress over time in your own topic, entries uploaded at the last minute will not be considered, this is a community-building event!
No art recycling, your entry has to be new and made specifically for this contest
You can only submit one entry per category (2D/3D)
Keep gore and nudity to a SFW (safe for work) level. If you think you'd get in trouble if your boss looked over your shoulder and saw it, then it's probably too much.
