Hey everyone! Im a 3D student from Argentina finishing my carrer, so i decided to finally enter the contest. Ive always loved the vfx and enviornment aspects of films and games, and thought what better way to practice than to try and set certain goals. Ive always been a fan of Laputa: Castle in the Sky and Ghibli, so i decided to approach something like that in terms of "magical feel", and try to make it look more realistic without losing its "magical touch".
¨¨Once, we humans co-existed with robots, or so we called them that. Time passed, and war raged between humans, and as expected, we used our neighbor species as helpers in our fights. Some went even as far as modifying them. Their species went extinct, as we can see in the body remains here and there. The winning side of the war, exctracted the remaining magic from them and constructed floating and scattered constructions, where they would live in small pockets of humans. Down in earth, grass and water covered what once was a proliferous civilization. ¨
Ill be posting progress as i finish. Been experimenting with some new software and new workflows, so its a longshot that im willing to give it my best.
