Yx - The Mayan warrior - Looking for critique

Hi there fellows, I have been drawing since I have 7 years old and today I would like to hear your opinion in relation to one of my latest illustrations. I usually like to draw female warriors using different concepts. This time was the Mayan culture combined with a little of cyberpunk. I'm not gonna get you bored with the details, so here it is. Feel free to share your feedback.

nice design! but check your values, turn it black and white and see how you could improve on contrast, light direction etc... It would help it read better.

Hey man like evf said you need to work on values, try using more midtones instead of rushing to almost black and almost white, also the anatomy is a little wonky, specially around the neck/shoulders, the way bones and muscles connect around there is pretty complex but it's worth studying imo, I did a super quick sketch over your piece to show you:

Its a great image, depth perception great but some of your values are off and they take your eye on a weird journey all over the shop when it should focus you more on the face and shoulders first. Other than than great piece of work buddy

Hey! thank you @evf, @ragecandy and @bowzertron for taking the time to check this out. Indeed values are one of my weak points and you are right @ragecandy about the way I made the anatomy. It is so obvious now that you brought it to my attention.
