Good work man. Doing some good progress there.
As for the tube/spine, a couple of points that might help:
- The tube is obviously emulating the spine, just like the torso box and hips box emulate those parts, and though technically the spine does curve a bit on the torso (more like, it's anatomical form has some pieces that stand out), for practical purposes, we should try to keep it as a single continuous line or tube that bends one way or another, but not middway (since you can't double bend your spine). It should be an "extension" of gesture practice, so just like in gesture the spine is represented by a single stroke, so should this "tube" represent a single "pole" that bends sligthly.
Busy weekend so I couldn't draw much, just another pen control exercises.
Day 7 of pen controlling, it was frustrated at first, but the more I do it, the more comfortable and relaxing it gets, still need to work on circles & pen pressure though. From now on, I'm gonna try other pen control exercises as a warm-up routine, and do these exercises once or twice a week.
nice work so far I would like to add to not forget your other guidelines there should be one for every feature of the face ( even tho everyone's faces are a little different ) also dont forget about the sphere that makes up the mouth muscles that add more shape to the face and where to place the mouth and how it curves.
(these faces are a bit off cuz I drew them when I was taking notes on the video)
