I need to get better with environments so I decided to take on an illustration fan art piece with a majority involving a valley/mountain like environment. It's not done yet but I like where it's going. From thumbnails to current status.
Finished piece, I spent a lot of time going on tangents and winding up sticking with the original composition each time. So this took longer than it should have.
Quick sketches/thumbnails for more creature concept art. I plan to refine each of them.

Haven't touched this piece in a while, just got back to it.
Those are some pretty badass designs. I especially like the one with the torso-mouth and the giant hands. It look so cool!
