Yes you can submit a piece. You have into March 21st to finish your art piece. You have to upload your art to your forum post first. You have plenty of time.

Hey, i'm having a few issues uploading on the forum, it simply says this file cannot be loaded, try again. this happens every time i attempt to drag the jpeg file into the uploading space. could you please help me identify the problem? cheers

Hey. It says that we can't use relegious symbols. What does that mean? Because I want to represent my cultures past relegion in that time my character exist.

@tomormate65 are you asking about the shaman tattoo on your characters arm, or something else?
And does the tattoo spell a specific word, like a name of a religion?
The rule is there, because we want to avoid real life religions and political issues in our contest :).

Well it just says "arrow of god" and this relegion is not around anymore if I'm correct, but my the hungarian culture later turned to christianity and i want to suggest that with a subtle cross form. So is that okay?

@tomormate65 not really, sorry. Please don't use any symbols of actual religions, even subtly, as that would disqualify you completely.
As for the tattoo, that will be up to the judges to decide, since it's not current and unreadable. Alternatively you could consider using 'random' runes and not tying your character to any religion, that would put you completely in the clear.

A very quick question - does the front-and-back concept sheet also need to be fully colored? Or can that be lineart or value concepts too?

EDIT: A second question, is it fine if I have some religious symbols in my moodboard and concepting phases, because I used them for reference to make my own fantasy, completely fictional runes and symbolism or should I clean them up from all material, reference and concept alike?

A front and back view that has flat colors is enough to know where your sourcing everything from.
Your only submitting the character sheet and the final illustration so you don't need to show the mood board. You can show off other sketches for your character but no need to show off the mood board.
So basically you can do whatever with the mood board.

Hi! Just a quick question (and maybe silly, but I want to make sure). I've got a completed concept sheet with many things on it (including front and back views), but I would also like to submit another concept sheet with those front and back designs in a higher resolution. Is that allowed?

I mean, they would be three documents in the end: [A] Concept Sheet (the official one), a second Concept Sheet only with front and back views, and [B] Final Illustration.

For the submission, you'll only be able to have your final illustration and one concept sheet appear on the Artwar main page. However, you are free to post any additional elements you want to show inside your topic alongside your final submissions.

Hii, quick question, for my final illustration i want to incorporate transparency so my file needs to be png,it will be less than 1mb, someone knows if it is allowed ? or should i do it in jpg but with the backgound in the cubebursh web blue?

Hello, the instructions for the concept sheet advise to show important sketches and to squeeze everything onto this one sheet. Do we need to cram all of the concept sketch material onto the one concept sheet? My character is practically complete except for some details remaining, but I'm concerned about making everything fit. I would be highly embarrassed if my concept sheet exploded due to so much material and caused any viewers monitors to receive collateral damage from it, not to mention temporary blindness and emotional anguish. I won't be held liable.

@fanowll yup, that's allowed. If by chance the site resizes your image, that means it's too big and needs smaller file size, otherwise it's all good.

@drkwyr Your concept sheet has to include the front and back of your final design. Everything else is up to you to decide whether it's important enough to be on the sheet or not. So if you have too many sketches to fit, you don't have to include all of them. Use the space to present your work in the best way possible
