My idea starts with the concept of a 'Warp Soldier'. This combatant is able to 'blink' through space to perform tactical assaults for various situations, commonly in breach and hostage scenarios.

Here I have begun with base suit variants to get the ball rolling

Thank you! Yes I've decided to further develop the white armored version, since he's got a nice silhouette and variation in values.

Exploring designs for the Sidearm and Slicing tool/Combat knife. Also playing around with colors and the warp effect caused by the gear on his back.

Listening to Retro Synth Wave really puts me in the mood for this character's setting!

Wow such a lot of stuffs in such a little time !
For the warp effect, 2nd and 4th looks awesome !!
Guns maybe 1st for both (sidearm & slice tool).
Armors not easy to choose they look all great...I really dig the armored visor (police) but the other 2 looks really great as well...

But everything is awesome and I'm just giving suggestions
Keep up the awesome ideas & artworks !!!

Ooh nice! I really like the yellow/orangey with the blue/purple colour scheme, and 2nd & 3rd warp effects look great! My favourite warp gear is the 3rd looking forward to seeing more of your work!

I feel I'm to ready get started on the front/back concept sheet! Here I am sketching some final design decisions that will be cleaned up later. I decided to remove a shoulder guard and add a badge to break the symmetry and give more character. Also decided to call this guy 'Agent Swan' because I think it sounds pretty cool and not too generic!

Cleaned up the line art and ready to move to painting in the values, colors and details.

Applied local values, colors and base light/shadows. Just need to define some of the materials and tighten up the image.

Well, 1, 4, 7, 8 (maybe 10), 11 and I really dig the composition of 12 !
Maybe it needs a larger view ? for a better look on...some skyscrapers on the back - or it's too much for the image ? don't know...

Yeah some of these compositions are jammed with information, it would be a good idea to space them out so it's clearer to see.

I quite like number 6 too haha. I might pick out 3 thumbnails and enlarge them to narrow down the choices.

Added more detail and mood to 3 of the thumbnails, and also extended the last thumbnail.

I think his warp ability can be explored in composition 10, the rest seems to be quite static and I think your character is more of an action guy. Love the fin designs too.

So I had already taken one thumbnail further, and made some changes to the scene to better communicate his warp ability. However I'm bouncing around ideas whether he should be part of a squad or put more focus on him by adding a bike instead which he warps from. His pose here is quite heroic but the scene might look more epic if I change his pose to one similar to thumbnail 10.
