Back story created after thumbnail designs.

Concept:

• Explores Hostile worlds looking for artifacts, elements, reconnaissance and rescue missions, depending on her client.
• She is highly experienced encountering viscous alien creatures, normally surviving by the skin of her teeth.
• she's optimistic even in the most dire situations.
• she has a fun curious personality, normally what gets her into trouble.
• Her large bulky space suit makes enclosed spaces a difficult situation.
• The nature of her work means that she is always taking a risk, she's susceptible to attacks and if her suit is compromised in most situations that means death.

Background:

• As a famous explorer of dangerous worlds it only makes sense that when the rift between the earth and the mystical realm opens she is contracted by a shady industrialist to venture in and see what rare assets she might acquire. Once she returns from her first venture into the void and sees the dangers that await she is directed by the military to re-enter the dimension and report back to them as a scout and asses the imposing threat looming from the fantasy dimension.

First time doing a challenge like this, looking forward to getting feedback and input from other people.

Leaning in the direction of number 9 and the one to the left that I somehow managed not to number.

I like he idea of some kind of exo suit, not sure what it's function could be, my first impression would probably be flight or could be some kind of space suit.

Thanks! Almost all the ones you mentioned are the ones I was interested in taking forward so that's good, should be updating later on with more progress.

Design exploration using Thumbnail number 9, I'm quite happy with the concept as a starting point.
I will be doing the same with some of the other thumbnails, but I have a feeling this is likely the one i'll push forward with.

More thumbnails created to fit the core design of the character by recycling some of the shapes I liked from the original thumbnails to create new ones.

More character development, trying to capture more of the personality of the character, also experimenting with the dome idea from the previous concept.

It will be easier for me to design the character once I've got the face done so that is what I will be working on next before delving deeper into the exo suit design.
