I'm not so sure about the child tho...maybe a mix of 7+8 ?

I forgot something...the second design is maybe a bit too the evil side for the young adult ? (sharp shapes, mostly black tints, etc...).

hmmm. very interesting problem, choosing between young adult and child. personally, id choose the child over the young adult, because i think that both a child and an adult are cooler, and easier for me to work with, than a young adult. i love the direction though! keep it up!
I'm kind of at a stand still because the child doesn't feel like a hero to me, no matter how I stylize her I kind of see her as the adult version in training

These are nice, but a bit too calm, you could try something where she's hunting something with her friend creature, or attacking some evil dudes, or defending people from evil dudes
Think of the story you want to tell with this illustration, and it will come naturally
Sketch number 2 could be nice !
