Not sure if this could help (and sorry to be so late to found this, only now)...maybe the robot could point his left (or right) arm to the camera, and push forward to take the speed up...(problem will be the legs too, which look too static as well...and need some fixes...).
If it is doing some super speed ?

But I totally understand if you can't do this...it probably needs a lot of time to manage all these fixes...

Your character look nice in the middle of this ^^

@rgdraw thank you. I will try

@mr_dessin Firstly thanks for the feedback. I had some other version of the arms but I couldn't get them to work quite well. I tried changing the arms a bit which I will post on here soon. I think what I'll do is change the background to have the character in a factory or something so the static pose makes more since. Again thanks for the feedback.

Its looking good, and your rendering is sure to look awesome.

I look forward to seeing the other arm positions and how it might be updated.

thanks. I'll try to get those up tomorrow

Well...the very first one seems more interesting than the others (to me).
But do what you think is the best for you.

I also think the first one looks more interesting. The mech pose is more interesting and I feel like the position of the hands helps to frame the cockpit, which in turn helps to stay in the image.

Awesome progress, the mech is cool! I'll jump on the number 1 bandwagon for arm pose.
My only suggestion would be to play with the mech head position, maybe make him/it look in the same direction as the pilot, because he's still a little stiff. If you do go with a factory/repairs background, then disregard the whole head thing
Good luck, looking forward to the final!

@mr_dessin Thanks. I like it as well. Here's a quick shot below.
@cedricgo Yeah I think so as well. At first I wasn't sure about the empty space on the right side but I think it's ok.
@sparksofdawn thanks for the feedback. I liked your idea so I made the change to the head. The factory background just seemed like to much work so I'll go for the ambiguous space background I had.

Well there isn't much time left and I need to finish this soon. So I'll try to finish everything as soon as I can.
Changed the weapon design. I might change the background a little more. I feel like something is missing there. and I might tweak colors a bit

wow, looks awesome man! I can't wait to see it finished!

Amazing work ! Can't wait to see how the final illustration will look like ^^ The galaxy is a bit distracting though, maybe that's because you didn't render the characters yet, looking forward to see the whole illustration rendered ^^

@sanguine thank you. I look forward to finishing it as well.
@toutydroid thanks for feedback. You are completely right. The background has a lot going on atm. It shouldn't be to bad when the mech is finished.
@rgdraw thanks a lot.

Great progress so far!
Regarding the last comment on the galaxy, I'd suggest lowering the saturation quite a bit to push it further into the distance, it is indeed taking too much attention.
Nice work anyway!

Thanks for the feedback. I can do that.

Looking pretty smooth! :+1:

I would suggest having the decals on different layers as text. That would make them much more precise.

If you do desaturate the galaxy, you may need to add some rim light to help separate the different foreground/background elements.

The decals are on other layers. For now they're like a quick sketch. A rim light is a good idea. Luckily the setting is in space so the lighting is kinda fake.
Thanks for the suggestion and feedback.
