Thanks! Yeah the colors I'm not too sure on yet but I'll most likely stick with dark colors and only use brighter ones for areas of contrast. Once I decide the 1st, 2nd and 3rd points I want the viewer to look at ill figure it out. Maybe the face, mask and chest? Who knows. lol

I still have quite a bit of modeling left but I figured I'd post a more polished W.I.P post compared to the other ones I did. I switched out the other oni mask because I felt it gave too much of a cartoony look. Next I'll be making the floating disk with the talismans hanging from it above him and will most likely just pose him now. Normally I would wait till after everything's done but for something like this I don't think I will.

Lol no not yet. Its just a decimated model in Marmoset with AO. I haven't even started the reto yet but once I finish all the modeling (Still a big chunk to do) Ill start that. Thanks @zyp !

Wow. This guy looks very interesting. For me tail looks (it is more like an arm, not tail or tentacle) a little bit broken. May be it was your intention, but I would smooth it and make it snake-like.

Really cool design! The only suggestion i have is to try and make the tail and the front legs more different. Currently at first glace they look similar, possibly due to the shape.

Super speedy progress though, you are like a rocket!

So I'm messing around with the idea of adding wings and I wanted to see what anyone else thought. Its a really strong heavy creature and I dont want the wings to be so big that he can actually use them. I kind of imagine hes been locked away for a long time that he can no longer use his wings and the rest of his body had to make up for it. Im also thinking of doing away with the beads and adding a cuff around his neck with chains from it to his hands. As if he is bound in a three way chain setup. Not sure about that part yet. I added a few different angles to give a better idea. Figured Id check now before going into detail and changing a bunch of stuff permanently.

Thanks @blair ! I really appreciate that. Your work is great as well. Alright cool. One "for" wings besides myself. Anyone else? Ill probably go ahead and start doing the detailing on them for now and if anyone else has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Looks good man, been lurking on this thread for a bit xD. I'm not sure about the wings thing because you already have wings attached to his front legs/arms, so not sure why'd you add another set of teeny tiny wings this time. I imagine it'd look cute by comparison, which may help people like the creature more, idk. If you wanted you could do that 3 chain set up, but have the chains broken? Anywho nice model man

Another set of tiny wings? I think you may be looking at the rope and thinking those are wings. Which says that I need to adjust that a little bit. The only wings so far are the ones on his arms. @aveon Theres rope wrapped around his waist and arms and the parts sticking out are the ends of the rope. More stylized if anything but I haven't finished detailing them. Regardless thanks for the feedback! Big work in progress.

This is some bad ass stuff! I like the head design the most. I think you need some smaller details on the Kanabo to make it believable huge.

@fantasymaster oh thats a good point. Ill do that. I wasnt sure if the weapon took too much attention from the character and was worried about adding it but I feel like most of the detail brings the viewers eyes to the front. Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it. Going to do a heavy detail pass on the entire character and then start the reto process soon so any feedback I get now is best.

The wings was a nice touch! I think its really helped breaking up those similar shapes!
