@briandolan89 hihi, at least for a second!
i use mari and arnold w. this shader.
alot of back and forth.
first i had no idea how to best layer the metallic and dielectric materials, but used this layered shader and a mask, quite simple in the end.
but it's so light dependent, specially the metal ..
i will use this studio lighting for now and i hope all materials will work at the end with a different lighting

next is leather-time.

you can have 'em, but you have to get 'em from him

playing with the leather, still missing some details.
some parts are left out, cause they won't be visible.
thinking about making some fur stick out of the stitches ... but i think that's too much.
quite enjoying the texturing/shading process ..

OK, I freaking love this. great proportions and lots of detail in the right places

HOWEVER, since no one has said anything yet (and since someone already went through this on another thread) there is a bit of confusion among people about whether the "No art recycling, your entry has to be new and made specifically for this contest" rule will disqualify people who kitbash So before you get much further you may want to double check with a mod about it?

Sorry to be the Debbie downer, digging the piece so far and I don't want to see you get disqualified

@Aveon Yes he showed the simple version earlier, don't know about everyone else "ahead currently", i won't assume but they did not show them not just using a pre-made body base, as far as i saw anyway.

But that is not for me to figure out, anywho that texture work is insane man, crazy nice update.

i made the kitbash during the challenge, but that are just 10 pieces duplicated and little bit modified with uvs, nothing special , kitbash for kids ..
