I had been thinking about a 3d model that would look like a painting in Sketchfab. I was also thinking about doing it in an arabic-style armor.

I've been making several concepts of the complement that I could wear in the caveza, but I'm going to keep the turban that I thought at first because I think it will give me more play.

nice, can't wait to see the final result!

@Jakob_Scheidt THANK YOU! I'm really going to give her a few more flicks in the face because she's making me look too simple.

Wow. Can't wait to see your progress on this mate. Keep it up

wow! very interesting character

@Sergei_Pakhomov @Flix_Stephan @Sl_Ax SUPER THANK!! I hope it ends up looking better than it does now. For now I've finished making the hull (although I still have to do the textures because this is only a first look in zbrus). The hull will hardly be seen but I think it's better to leave everything well finished. I already have more or less the turban modeled and now I'm going to do the retopology. I think to separate the turban in pieces to have more quality in the uvs.

It's taken me all day, but I've already got the turban retinalization done. But my problem is that which option is better to publish my project: real time rendering in skechfab? or 3d Maya rendering?
I've always rented in Maya and I feel that I have all the control but... maybe it's better to do it in skechfab and learn more... on the other hand none of the previous winners (I think) have ever submitted their model to skechfab and... I don't know if that should matter to me, really. On the other hand there is the issue that I could retouch a little bit the final image of the render as they did in previous years so... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!? HELP ME!!

@Sl_Ax @Jakob_Scheidt @Flix_Stephan @Sergei_Pakhomov What do you think? What will you do in your jobs?

I'd definitely go for real time as you can learn so much within this progress. I can't really say if a submission via Sketchfab is allowed as they mention Marmoset Viewer in the guidelines but on the other hand they somehow need to inspect your model. One option is definitely to render everything in Maya. This is at least a save bet. You should ask the contest admins if Sketchfab entries are also allowed.

@Flix_Stephan In the "3D Submission Requirements" they say that:
"If you are not uploading your model using the Marmoset viewer or the Sketchfab embed, include this sheet in your final submission"
And if I've seen people who don't submit the "character sheet" or whatever they say for the contest and although it's true that I learn more I don't know if the limitations imposed by skechfab are too many.

Interesting references and character. Waiting for your progress!

Oh. I should learn to read properly. Somehow missed the Sketchfab detail :,D Sorry for the confusion dude

I'm done with rhetopology and the UVs on the turban. I did a quick vray render to see how it would look. And on the other hand I have the base of the head with "sculptris pro", also I have made several conceps that I could carry out in his face to make it more interesting.

Really interesting concept)
