Aww, thank you. I am very suggestive with faces in sketching phase, it somehow works better for me when transitioning into painting phase.

Here I tried a more closed outfit, and maybe a hat inspired by the musical instrument. But I'm pretty sure most people would get more Mexican outfit vibes then any other, but it was fun to experiment. Definitely like more Pagan version in the other sketches. Decided to post this anyway, cause it was part of discovering the character.

Spent the Sunday getting these two to a more presentable state. This one was actually the first one I did, but it was painted out too roughly, so I put a bit more work on it. The idea on this was to emphasize her as a Sea Mother. Maybe something had angered her so she brings floods to cities, that kind of thing.

I have an idea to paint in a very beautiful castle from Latvia in the background, or a inspiration of it. It has some amazing gardens around it. It's called Rundale castle. Anyhow I did some thumbnails mainly to figure out how to contrast objects around her.
Dark on light or light on dark.

I don't know if its on purpose, but for me the head of the girl in the middle seems a bit too big in comparison to her body🤔 Maybe I'm wrong xD Just wanted to mention my thoughts.

The general thought would be that the minions represent her as mother of forest, sea etc (mentioned in character description) and the creatures wouldn't really be humanish. I will decide it on a later stage to include them or not. But right now my biggest focus is on the main character and after that the background.
