Hey there!

So... it's been quite a while since I've last uploaded here something. I got sidetracked with some other stuff and found it more difficult to get back into my art routine.
But it's a new year so... new me? I intend to practice art more regularly and not get distracted too easily. Let's see how it goes

Here are some figure drawings I did a while back and forgot to upload

I also started the Perspective 1 class and did the assignments.

I did this room in 1-point perspective based on the video lesson of the class. I didn't draw a real room, I just did something similar to the lessons example. This is also the first piece I submitted to the weekly live streams. In this version below I fixed the stuff Marc mentioned during the stream.

For the 2-point perspective assignment I did a medieval market square. This piece took me a while as I am quite inexperienced with perspective drawings. Before Art School I had never even thought about doing these kind of drawings. Marcs critique during the streams helped me a lot. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

I've been practicing gesture drawing for a few weeks now. At first I struggled with this exercise but now it's gotten a lot better. I've included one of my early attempts at gesture drawing and my current progress. I'll definitely continue doing these

Here is the rest of the Photoshop 2 assignments. It was fun playing around with the different features which I didn't even know existed before watching this class. It took some time getting used to the pen tool, it's definitely not my favorite.

Next up: facial features!

While watching the lesson I just drew along and then I did some on my own. After that I studied the facial features from reference and also practiced shading.

After going through the Anatomy 1 class, I decided to redraw this old selfportrait I did two years ago. Back then I was still fairly new to digital art. It's not the best piece I did, but you have to start somewhere. I am pretty happy with the redraw version of it.

Here I fixed some stuff Marc pointed out in the stream.

Hey there!

So I've been going through the Perspective 2 class. Below are just some exercises I did to get used to the new perspective types.

I had a lot of fun doing these 3-point perspective pieces. I'm fascinated by how adding just 1 more vanishing point can make the scene so much more impressive than 2pp. Below I added some process pictures (from lineart to shading and minor fixes). After watching Marcs feedback I did some adjustments. In the picture with the wall overgrown with plants I redid most of the arches and adjusted the distance between them.
