Hey there!

Here are two more clothed figure drawings on top of photos. I already applied Marcs feedback. For the long dress I left the old version there because it's quite a difference compared to the new version. I think it really helps to merge some of the smaller folds into big ones.

Hey there!

Here are two artworks I had been working on in the past few weeks.

The first one was a birthday present for my friend. I drew her sitting on the Iron Throne from Game Of Thrones. She was really happy about her present.

The second picture was also a birthday present but for my dad. He really likes Sci-fi stuff and space, as well as Star Wars. So I thought, I'd draw him and his cat (who is named after Luke Skywalker). He really liked it as well.

I also finished watching the Anatomy 2 lesson and did some exercises. To be honest, I wasn't really motivated to watch it. That's probably why I took an unexpected break from assignments for a few weeks. Oh well, I hope I get back to my learning routine.

You did a really good job on those anatomy studies, cassandra!
Just one thing to point out: in you back views the triceps and the triceps tendon have a little funky curve, keep in mind that the tendons orientation always goes directly from its origin to the muscles insertion point. Drawing it as a straight line might make it look a little better. In order to still get the triceps bulge a little out on the lateral side of the arm, you could make the lateral head of the triceps a little bigger than the medial head.

I applied your suggestion to the triceps tendon and got rid of that "funky curve" (great choice of words btw ). Does it now look a little bit better?

Hey @cassandra, I think it still looks a bit off, for this view at least. the main problem i see is that the arms look a bit too flat, what I mean is that you drew the muscles in the right location but some of the proportions for the muscles is off, the arm on the right for example - its shown at a 3/4 back view, I could be wrong but I would assume that you would be able to see a bit of the biceps in the front.

I would advice to avoid this, is to practice by starting out with a cylinder and then splitting it up into the different muscles. hope this helps.

I agree with @HANDRO, the biceps would be visible on a 3/4 angle. Unfortunately I could not find a fitting reference for this pose, but what I wanted to show you is that the following:

Even in 3/4 view, the triceps is pretty much straight on the back of the humerus, it doesnt wrap around it. Muscles and tendons always connect the origin and insertion point in the shortest possible way, thats why the "funky curve" cannot exist.
I tried to draw the muscle itself for you, but I failed terribly
So I guess youll have to use the schematic drawing I did

I am really amazed with your work here! I'm quite new to this all so I can't yet offer any technical advice, but from what I see here I can say that this is all really wonderful. I really liked your perspective pieces; everything down to the shading and lighting really amazed me. I also agree with Lesley that these muscle and anatomy studies look very accurate and the lines are very smooth. I can clearly see the different muscle groups from your drawings! Great work with everything, and I can really tell that you are applying what you are learning very well. Keep it up, and be proud of your progress!

I also needed to take a break from studying anatomy, so I decided to draw something just for fun. I drew a hunter with her wolf, who are tracking down someone in the forest. Marcs feedback helped me a lot. In the end, I'm pretty happy with the result.

Hey there! I'm back with another update.

I've finally finished the Anatomy classes. I've learnt a lot going through the lessons and doing the exercises. A lot of times I felt like just giving up and moving on to other stuff but I'm glad I pushed through it.
