You are working so much on your art! Really cool. Your anatomy studies look so good!
I only have time to work on my art after work.
thank you so much @Vampamingo!! Even If I'm not feeling as productive as I would like hahah And don't be harsh on you with progress, I think that everyone has that feeling inside. I think that the importance is to try to appreciate the journey even if it's just at the beginning and you can't see lots of changements, just my opinion And for the plasticity probably you're right, thank you for the advice
And yes @ghostmonst3r it would be a pleasure for me to collaborate together!! Also doing some challenges like the translucent character challenge on the forum gives me an intense creativity boost And thanks for the advice, I think that I will focus during some months until the end of the year on character, evironments and, other things hahah and then understand better what I want and start creating my portfolio, hopefully
@IndrawnArt the fact is that I lost my job with coronavirus and It's actually difficult to find another one in this period, so this is my main thing right now I would like to do even more but, I don't know my crativity has decreased during the past few weeks. Hope to get it back hahah
Today some forms and light studies and some man made structures. I also went back to my sketchbook (I haven't touched traditional for a while ) and maybe finishing it before 2021. Hope that you will like it and if you have any advice or ideas on how to fill it I will totally appreciate that hahaha
Wow Chiara your volumes read so well it almost look like a render from 3d software and I love all these buildings, they have a soul <3 I think environments are really your thing! (your anatomical studies weren't bad at all! xD I just think it hmm... shines through what you like doing most)
Those buildings are the best! Especially the two horizontal panels. Oh, that looks like such a cool environment. Also, you made me feel guilty for not having a sketchbook. I don't like doing traditional art I, like Peter, think environments are your strongest suite so far.
really love those little buildings and structures
Thank you guys!! I'm searching for new tutorials online on environments for getting, better hahah If you know any of them let me know Tomorrow I will do a full immersion
Today some anatomy and other pages on the sketchbook, hope you'll like it
Rabbit turned out really cute and mannequins are pretty good as well for anatomy I think you need to study front legs some more, especially how tibula is placed in the leg, rest is really neat.
For environments check Tyler Edlin, he has nice style and make only them, Idk how good his tutorials are tho so it's for you to explore the subject
Hey Chiara,I'm sorry that you lost your job due to the pandemic. I just wish that people would be more careful and wear their masks to protect themselves and the other people around them. I could only shake my head in disbelief yesterday while drinving behind a "party bus".
Oh well. We keep us sane with our art, right?! Your studies are amazing! Proko is always a good source of inspiration and he's so damn good at anatomy it's insane. XD
Keep it up!
Attempt to do a landscape, not 100% satisfied but I hope to get better. I could have added more things and polish it more but I started getting bored. I need something new to start Let me know what you think
Yay! You started using sharper edges for the foreground! Maybe push the atmospheric perspective more?
These are really good!
Very nice landscape, Chiara! I love that you added some moss on the tree trunks.
The mountain in the background seems a bit too saturated for being that far away.
Thanks for the kind words guys
Here I post some quick studies of this week, I'm posting them right now because I was pretty ashamed hahah I need to work a looot on this things. Also I can't draw for long times this week, I don't know I just feel tired, always hahah I think that It's because I care about it a lot and this cause me more anxiety than other topics.
If you have any advice I will appreciate them as always!! But I wanted to say that they're not mean to be "super polished" but just quick and loose, nothing else to say
Chiara strikes again with the environments!
And it's super-effective I love colors on the space piece!
Today a star trek piece, I adore it hahah I found a cool reference and tried to follow it, I'm kinda following more a sci fi theme in these days, trying to understand what I like the most.
This is a WIP, lots of things to refine in the foreground and, colors of course what do you think about the values? It's actually strange that on my ipad the foreground is a lot darker than on my computer, have you ever noticed it on your works too? Also any other advice of course always appreciated
I think spaceship is too dark, it seems that it is made of stone with having the same value as the mountain next to it and spaceships are made of metal so they reflect a lot of sky which is pretty bright there.
What also bothers me the most is "the road" from light shapes between the guy and the mountains in the background, there are like 4-5 isles of light which seem very regular almost like men-made.
I love rendering of the mountain next to the spaceship and the feeling of depth <3
Yay! Star Trek! Love your environments. Here's my critique for this one:1. On my screen the front mountains look almost black. And this is the monitor with good calibration.2. The ship blends with the mountain, so it's difficult to see if it's behind it or if we lost one of the engines. 3. Please render this one, I love scifi art!
Here some progress. Any further advice before submitting to the stream?
I noticed that it's far away from the values of the reference, but I don't know I kinda like it, what do you say? I put you down the reference here (I haven't invented almost anything, I'm sorry )
Chiara I think you can make it better that the reference. The original picture is kind of boring.Yours already looks more interesting with 2 suns and a lost human?
