Works Surprisingly well
Took the time to finish this character finally. I made the elven creature more clear, and that she is actually just masking herself with her obsession of these feathers and birds.( hope that reads better). Also made her Torso this dead, bird kind of corpse with the slim bones and ruffled feathers. Thought it was fitting ^^

I love, love love your Sea Empress/Perdrix piece so muchhhhhhh aaaaaahh
The colors in the empress piece are downright gorgeous, the photo textures gives it that nuance of color difference, as well as the sharp edges that give it a nice punch and crunch to the whole piece.The circles around her head as a finisher to frame her nicely is just solidddd

Yeah I sorta experienced an artgasm when I saw that piece, don't mind me lol

The stage of Perdrix where she didn't had a torso was also a very powerful image imo and you wrapped her up neatly (:

Hey there, you're doing some cool stuff!
Here's some feedback if you're looking for areas to improve (your painting looks awesome as it is though):

• I think you need to refine the ears a bit, as they seem (to me at least) less finished than the rest of the face.
• Her face is pretty nice, but it would look even nicer with just a little more detail in the eyes in order to define them better as a focal point.
• Lastly, I think the freckles look a bit too regularly distributed. They'd look more natural if they're different sizes and shades and have more uneven spaces in between. I believe you did them with an ordinary brush (I'm pretty sure this is not the correct term), but there are brushes that make it muuch easier. Here's one from Marc Brunet that I got pretty decent results with:

had to take a few hundred steps back from this piece, since it started to frustrate me. I looked more carefully at faces and tried to fix some general issues, still not finalized, ill try working on 2 pieces on the same time

Man, this is really coming along nicely. The face is looking pretty good. I really like her ''reptilian'' eyes. That's such a nice detail.
