Maybe you should give yourself a bit more time, your art looks really good and you're still young, so if you give yourself some time you could get even better and I think from then on it will be easier to get noticed. And Artstation is definetely a nice place to start!

I just re-painted some light and shadow castings on this piece to prepare it for colouring >_< I liked the first version a bit better...i don't even know why.. I guess it emphasis's the face more

Salems mask

Hey guys ! Im back, and I have this new piece for you ^^ When i was finished with Salem i wasn't really happy with the results because i was more fixated on drawing the highlights and shadows in the right places that i forgot the story i wanted to tell and the energy is completely lost that i imagined. What i imagined was this but what came out was this still live, cartoon looking face. So here, I repainted it, what do you guys think?

Hey @chriswhatelse Nice work so far. On this last piece I'd encourage you to check the proportions. Generally speaking, the legs from the hip down to the ankles are about the same length as the torso. There's a bit of wiggle room ofcourse with style in question but in this case they appear to be too long.

hey @tmhlaba! Thanks for the advice! yea i tend to sketch really long legs and i need to get more comfortable with proportions as well yea xd

For sure we all have bad habits when drawing the figure. It's easy enough to fix though with proper construction. So as you're drawing the pose just mark where the 'half way' mark is as well as where the feet are and head is. Then when you draw as long as you keep those marks in mind you won't make that mistake.

I haven't been on the site a lot lately, but I want to tell you that I really like some of the latest work you did. You've really improved since your first post here.

I especially love that last piece. I like the style, which feels like a mix of dark sci-fi and fantasy. And the colors are beautiful. Great job man!

Hello there ^^

That's a lot of really good progresses man !
Otherwise for your character without torso (just before your Zbrush first try), that would be nice if she had a hole inside or something ? And a crystal or a mirror inside ??
The mystery with blue tints of colours were really nice too on her head (before)...but maybe you totally dropped the idea ?

But yeah, I really like that character !
Hope you could find the time to finish it one day
