Here are the assignments from week 1. I am still pretty new to digital art (I've mostly done traditional until now), so these were pretty useful.

The pencil control one was pretty difficult at first, but I feel like I am improving quickly and now I don't feel the need to use Ctrl+Z as much. There's still a lot of room for improvement though!

As for the Image adjustment one it was kind of the opposite experience. I started strong with Hue/Saturation, but I'm not as proud of the rest of exercises, especially the last one... I tink I messed up something pretty bad with that one, because even the image quality went down. Maybe I'll retry it later if I find the time.

Also, thank you for your welcome! I've binged some of your journals and they look amazing, everyone here is so talented! I'll try my best to catch up with you all.

Nice work!
Don't worry too much about the last one. This one is hard to get

Thank you!
It was for me, no doubt! I'll try to do better on the next PS assignments, we'll see how that turns out.

Photoshop assignments from week 2!

I think these turned out okay, so I'm satisfied with them. I was a bit worried about the first one because I thought it would be hard to blend the two tones of snow together, but it worked out in the end.

The same can be said about these other exercises. The alien looks a bit odd because the textures are noticeably deformed at various points, but I think it's fine overall.

The best part is that I'm starting to get familiar with PS tools and I feel more confident using the software. I've been using PS for years but only for small edits, so I've never felt very comfortable working with it before. Progress!

Here are some of my daily nude drawing assignments. I was pretty lost at first, especially with the cylinders for the limbs, but I think I'm getting into a rythm and my lines feel more deliberate. Still not sure if these results are any good, but at least it's useful practice!

Great start with everything! Way to go on the quantity of figure draw overs you've done!

It's been a slow week, but here's some daily pen control exercises I've been doing:

Also, I've completed my first character study of the course! It took MUCH longer than I anticipated, probably because I tried to make it as accurate as possible by using the measuring techniques from Term 1... Im not exactly happy with it, but it's probably one of my best drawings at the moment.

Another study! I think I am happier with this one, I got a bit confused by which shadows should be included in the line art but it doesn't look too bad overall. It still took a long time, so I am wondering if I should focus more on speed from now on.

Hi, it's been a while! I'm sorry for not keeping the thread updated, I'll try to be more consistent from now on.

I've been doing some gesture drawings. These are all 30 seconds and man, that's so little time! I could only draw wonky stick figures! (Day 4 I did the exercise on my sketchbook, so it is sadly not included)

Also I did another study!

This one was a bit different because it includes hair and loose clothes, which was a bit hard. I tried doubling the canvas size too in hopes of improving my line work and I think it was a good call.

The most important thing though is that I didn't worry as much about making it accurate to the reference. There's a lot of areas where my drawing is a bit off from the reference, but I think it is best to accept some of these differences for my sanity's sake.

Still a long way to go, but at least I am drawing some cool characters!
