Hi! Really excited to be here! I am currently working as an English teacher and do art traditionally and digitally from time to time. However, I am not happy in my job and decided to take my art more seriously. So I made the decision to join this program so that I can hopefully fulfill my dream of becoming a Character Concept Artist one day. I also wish I could make short comics or animations too. I mainly use Procreate on my iPad Pro, so I am interested in learning photoshop and maybe even Zbrush eventually! I have much to improve on, so I wouldn’t call myself an Artist just yet. Hopefully with this program that will change

I’ll start with with the few last pieces I drew before I start my classes.

This is my Player Character from a game called The Elder Scrolls Online, it was drawn from imagination.

ESO player character

After that, I finally started drawing from reference, but I got really frustrated with my art with the following two pieces, because I was on some art high and I liked it so much and couldn’t replicate it again. After that I took a 2 year break from Art due to frustration.

Darien Gutier from Elder Scrolls Online

Following the two year gap I got the courage to draw again and drew this piece, I was also testing a more efficient style, but it wasn’t because I still took too long on it XD

ESO OC

I always drew some sketches and was testing different styles, one of these sketches is this hug from a game called Warframe.

Update: 16/1/2025
Challenged myself with something I don’t usually do. Which is color and water. I tried my best though…

And that’s all I guess. Here is where I start my Art Progression. Thank you for checking out this blog and wish my good luck!

Welcome aboard, looks like you could teach us 😅 youve got some nice portrait skills there

Cheers!

Thanks so much! Actually those two portraits were done first by tracing the face model on a separate layer to practice the facial structure, then I erased that and redrew it using my OC design with the same facial structure I had practiced. After that I used the drop tool on the reference photo to apply the colors on my drawing to get it right. However, if I just copy from the start side by side without all the back and forth that usually doesn’t work out so great. Like my other drawings. 😅 Which is something I hope to learn here! Also those two portraits was me on my ADHD brain hyper focus mode done on the same day for many hours straight and I could never replicate those results again… 🥲
