These are a few things I’ve done digitally in my spare time over the years. I don't work in a creative field so this is just something I do to blow off steam every now and then but I don’t really get feedback as a consequence.

I obviously lack a lot of technical skill. I'm working on anatomy and composition but it's a little tough for me to conceptualize sometimes.

This is my most recent digital painting:

And these are quite a bit older, but perhaps give you an idea of what I can do and might illustrate problems that might be recurring:

Feel free to point out specific problems or point me to resources you think I might benefit from.

Hey there, snakker here, local noob 2 months into digital art school

I really like these, I am noticing some surreal influences here very cool

There are some things that I do feel may improve, at least with my limited knowledge about these things. I think the overall design and composition works as my eye goes to focal points that make sense, but when I look for the additional details my eye finds it hard to go there as the surroundings are very busy. Perhaps it is the varied color palette or maybe some more definition through use of value

Cheers

This may be a little too late, but here goes xD

Focusing specifically on the second image: I feel this may be a little bit too chaotic—while that may have been the intent, the number of elements present make it very difficult to find any place to settle. The spacing is too 'compact', if that makes sense? Making it feel very busy, so my eyes don't really have anywhere to settle. A lot of things also feel as though they have too much or equal weight, which again adds to an issue with where I'm meant to be having my attention drawn (I do like that you tried for a colorful composition, however I personally find the values a little too overpowering, and in some instances the volumes lose their definition).

There's a confusing sense of depth and scale; I'm finding it hard to discern the overall sizes of the elements present, though if it's intentional as the piece feels brim and full of energy, it captures it quite well.

I'm assuming you intended for an abstract, surreal illustration? It definitely captures that if that's the case, so that's good. It reminds me of Picasso's later works in-fact. But I'd say work a bit more on the scale; it feels too full and busy, making it hard for my eyes to focus any where, and look into the values some more to define the weight and focus where you want the viewer's eye to go.

Look into the rhythm, as well, as there's lots of clashing lines which lends to the chaos. Otherwise, as a surreal piece, it's enjoyable! I hope this helps >_<
