I dunno, the first thing I think when I see the new direction is, "Wait, how large is she?" Because aren't telephone poles usually so thick around that they're like medium-sized tree trunks? But she's holding it like it were a baseball bat. So is she just really large and the mech holding her is even larger? Or is it a micro-scale telephone pole and converters, etc.? Up until now, I'd always assumed she was human sized: She's human shaped, she's got human-sized clothing and glasses, and she's been carrying the same kind of rifle (and presumably the same size) that a human would. And if she's large and the mech holding her is even larger, why do we see parts of the power station looming over their heads? Is the mech lying on the ground? And what would she need a telephone pole for if it's not attached to the grid? Just to use as a melee weapon? Sorry, maybe it's just me, but I just find the telephone pole confusing.
