C is the best thumbnail I think in terms of storytelling and composition. Keep it up!

I vote for E it shows completly your character personality, luring it's prey and taking them by surprise, the poor dude won't even know what eat him, it's perfect!

Great concepts! I like how she's looking at us on B. E is quite unusual and interesting. But C is the most epic! It's really got mood and tension.

This design is unique and inspiring! Out of the thumbnails I like B and E. B has a clear picture of your character and good flow, but it feels liek she isn't involved in the action. E is amazing in terms of story but lacks the flow of B...
some random questions: have you experimented with two eels? the eel as an extension of her arm might be interesting to see also.

@rgdraw, your comment almost killed me ^^, i had a hard time figuring out how to keep the "luring" aspect. Well, it's still not on point.

I guess i'll work more on the flow with the z axis and the definition of the shapes of the main character whilst drawing the main illustration.

First colour atmosphere test along with some creature redesign, woohoo!
I feel those creatures need a more abyssal appearance without being totally anglerfish-esque.

Just dropping by to say - awesome entry! I like the right composition (with the multiple eels, it has a stronger deep sea abysmal feeling). My only gripe is with the eel placement - in the thumbnail they sit more naturally, and in the illustration they feel a bit like a mouth within a mouth (like in Alien).

Looks great! But maybe the height of the picture is too high. So the lantern is near the center and divide the composition into 2 pieces, taking too much attention.
