Sometimes you just need a comic relief. And Mo , Dr. Horik and Gilbert are my saviors xD Started as alien designs , ended up being a crew...Maybe they crashed in to the Viking village ? xD

I know that this is an environmental challenge by the way xD Im just trying to design EVERYTHING. The deadline is not too far , but i still have time for world building.

DAY 11
The first discovery!
They had to get to know they new world some how...So , this is a fast rough to show that.

DAY 12
I did a little 3D mock up of the village. To choose the best possible composition for the peace. THis is my first experience in 3D actually , so , its really rough xD The scale is a bit off , but composition is what I care about. Starting working on the final illustration soon! Witch composition do you guys think works best ?

Nice 3d base. I love your first one (the big blue one), and number 8. It because viewers could look your overall city. Not only the new structures but also the old one. Viewers could also understand why citizens there make a reason to build new structures.

Number 8, it has also a potential reason to continue. The giant structures on the left and right make a good frame to your composition.

Started using the 3D underlay as my guide line, but I couldnt get the scale I wanted with the autmosferic perspective , and overall composition felt weird. I did this fast (1 hour) sketch , to see the new feel of the peace. The scale is still off , but I like how the spookyness and post apocolyptic feel is showing through. Today I shall continue experimenting. Having fun though(-:

DAY 14
I combined 4 and 6 thumbnails. And came up with this. Since I didnt had time for perspective tweaks and stuff , will get it working today . Need to fix perspective and experiment a bit more with colors , this is too boring in my opinion Thank you @hebronppg , @thakis , @flamer , @jonatan-moonchild , @yandilao and @Nisinka for the feedback and overall following along. We are finally on our way to get the illustration done. Now , reference , patience , and tons of tea xD Rendering stuff out , and tweaking is my most hated part of drawing xD .

Wow so much work has gone into this Awesome to see, and your render style is really clean - I like that a lot... I really need to practice communicating things clearly like that.

DAY 15
I didn't really want to share this day , because Im still messing around with colors and composition. Came up with floating viking ships , but it doesnt really work right now. Also I need to harmonise colors. BUt here is where Im at! Probably gonna join day 16-17-18-20 to get a better expression on you guys later on ahaha

Absolutely - I tend to overrender and detail stuff - you seem to simplify and separate your forms very well and make things very clear - I need to try to do that more.

I think your colors are looking good, it might just be getting a bit busy / confusing with so many objects - there are a lot of different shapes and hard edges that are all attracting attention, I'm sure you're working out all this stuff though since you said you're working on composition. Hope you don't mind me saying, it's just an opinion

Actually Im gonna move away from the floating ships idea..Too much in my opinion . Simplicity is better I think. Maybe will go with this composition . But still , it appears to be too much....There is time for experimentation still. All I need is leave 40 hours for rendering. AS

So, I agree with volenck's opinion above. I guess you should spend your time to detail this one (your last one), and improve it to have a "sense of complete". I am not sure how to say in English, but it means just detailing, maintaining, or polishing it more to become clearer to your viewers. However I don't say your last progress is bad or something, just need giving extra times to make it better.

About your last image, maybe just only me, your Viking house on the foreground somehow attracts my eyes out from your point of interest. Perhaps, after you have finished your city later, my eyes will stop in your city..

DAY 16
Hey hey ma dudes. This is the last update for now. I dont want to spam here with almost no change in the peace. I will redesign the crashed ship. And make the village larger. Ill update in like 2-4 days , so you can see a greater progress! Thank you @volenck and @hebronppg for the crit. I todly agree with you guys on all you say ! All my peace needs right now is time and doodling...The main part is done. And there is not a hall bunch off stuff to design to be honest. Will see what we get soon ! Cheers mates!

P.s I may post just general ideas about this universe though (during this 2-4 days brake from posting this peace)...Mmm? Why stop just on this exact moment...Maybe We can design something beyond .

Hey dudes! DAY 16-21 I'm still playing around with color and composition xD ahah But its finally getting somewhere....Im hoping to finish overall painting this week, or at least in 2 weeks. And than just render render render untill the deadline. Right now , its all about the details. I want people to zoom in and see that this is actually a functional civilization. With its own rituals and weird life style. @Nisinka IM sorry !!!! I dont think anyone can survive a slide from this hill xD But anyway , just wanted to let you guys know , that Im alive (kind off ) ahah We are almost there!
