Couple of other shots from my scene.
Our destructive force came from the stars and demolished everything that lived or stood tall. Except for a few effigies made of stone, probably monuments built to their gods. A council of scholars declared this place holy ground, and prohibited their approaching demolition. Thou reconstruction had to continue, so they built around it.
--So my center will be the ruins of cathedral like building, most of it destroyed by the war. In what used to be the inside, there stand these statues which have survived the war with possible damage/cracks/missing limbs. Surrounding the ruins I'm planning fill with somewhat industrialized Sci-fi factory like buildings and facades. Encroaching and caring very little over concentrated grounds.---
