what helped me with noses is trying to get in the blocky forms of the nose without smoothing the planes as a way to help see how far the nose comes out and how the planes look so I can easily identify how to shade it. also, use references if you have to if you aren't already doing that it makes it a lot easier to understand it at different angles. You could also try to do the nose just by itself so you don't have to worry about placing it on a face and you focus purely on trying to get the nose right at different angles. hope this helps.
I tried doing what you said and it truly became a lot easier to shadow , and I am avoiding using references for now (I'm trying to draw focused in the parts I just learned [like - 'what happens if I make this part bigger? ' or 'Does it still look real if I invert the proportions?' ] )
And as you said I tried to draw only the nose for now
glad to hear that it helped but if you are not using ref when drawing at least when you end the practice session or after you finish a couple of noses check to t see if they look believable in that angle you drew them to make sure they look correct and you aren't in a positive feedback loop of making the same mistake using reference
