This one started as an idea for the ¨Day Off" challenge a couple weeks back. Unfortunately, I have to work at a restaurant a lot. These past few weeks I have had barely any time for art.
I am brushing up on my basics for light and shadows. I am just using this drunk Citan from an earlier piece to try out some different lighting schemes. Here is the beginning of the first lighting setup I did for him. I am just going with something basic here, to try to do the easiest possible lighting setup first.
This is really the first time I have been paying so much attention to cast shadows in a piece. It stretches my brain a bit to imagine where they would be.
After this I am going to add some deeper tones to the shadows, and some highlights.
