I combined some photos tho make a new environment. I don't now that much about photo bashing. If there are any tips, I would like to know.

I had an idea of a goat woman with a scythe and an axe.

My first sketch attempt:

The pose and structure.

I have a final sketch and I just have to refine it. The chain mail can be difficult.

I would like some critiques and some color theory.

A gray scale sketch of a mermaid.

I worked on the line art for the character I designed using marc's chalk brush. Are there good tips for coloring that I should know about?

Great design! I like chains(?) around neck and arms.

For colors it is good to remember about color harmonies like complimentary colors or triads. And you want to have your focal point (usually face) you will use colors that stand out the most (the brightest or the most saturated). As you go further from your focal point colors should be more toned down (?) like it should catch less attention.

I don't know how to explain it so here are Marc's videos on color.

Here are some two minute gesture drawings.

I had an idea of a warmongering mermaid. Here are some thumbnail sketches. The mermaid ones are on the left. The right are poses for another picture.

Here's a sketch of it. The idea is a mermaid became a mercenary and rages war on the surface world. She has a throne of Missiles and machine guns to fight with.

Apparently, there's a comic about it and it gave me some more ideas:

A random idea I thought about. A warmongering mermaid queen. I guess it's what if Ariel became a mercenary? Here's a colored version.

I did a quick sketch of a warrior fighting a demon.

For my 200th post (or maybe replies?), I had some flat colors on my character I made from a design contest a few months ago.

I did a 15 minute study of a cloaked woman in shadows.

I sketched a horse man from Alice in borderland. It was a weird thing to see, so I wanted to draw it.

I also did a character study of Daphnie from Neytirix It's a pretty cool design.
